The Central Government notified the reduction in Customs Duty on goods for use in the manufacture of Open cell Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) and Light Emitting Diode (LED) TV panels from 9% to 5%.
The Chip on Film, Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA), and Cell (glass board/substrate) are the goods which are used in the manufacture of Open cell of Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) and Light Emitting Diode (LED) TV panels of heading 8529.
As per the earlier notification no. No. 50/2017-Customs dated the 30th June, 2017 9% rate of Customs Duty was applicable on Chip on Film, Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA), and Cell (glass board or substrate).
“In the said notification, in the Table, against S. No. 515B, for the entry in column (4), the entry “5%” shall be substituted,” the notification said.
