Certificate Course doesn’t grant any Qualification, Chartered Accountants should not mentioned as qualification along with their Name: ICAI

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)  has issued clarification on the information regarding Certificate/ Diploma Course (PQC) conducted by the Digital Accounting & Assurance Board.

The Institute has clarified that the Information Systems Audit (ISA) is a Diploma Course. On successful completion of this course, a member is entitled to use the letters “DISA (ICAI)” after his/her name to indicate that he/she has completed this Post Qualification Course on Information Systems Audit course conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

“It is clarified for information of the members that Forensic Accounting & Fraud Detection (FAFD) is a Certificate Course. On successful completion of this Course, a member is awarded a certificate to this effect. However, a certificate course does not grant any qualification, and therefore it should not be mentioned by the members as qualification along with their name,” the ICAI said.
