Chartered Accountant vacancy in Chennai Port Trust

Chennai Port Trust is inviting applications from Chartered Accountant to fill in the role of senior Accounts Officer (Class I) in the Finance Department through Absorption/Deputation basis. Candidates with Five years in Executive Cadre in the field of finance are preferred. Eligible candidates are directed to apply before 31^st August 2020 through their Online Application Portal.

Chennai Port, the third oldest port among the 12 major ports, is an emerging hub port on the East Coast of India. This gateway port for all cargo has completed 137 years of glorious service to the nation’s maritime trade. Chennai Port is one among major ports having Terminal Shunting Yard and running their own Railway operations inside the harbor. The port is having railway lines running up to 41 Kms, 8 sidings to handle a wide range of cargo like Granite, Food grains, Dry Bulk, etc. For handling containers separate sidings are available.

• Educational and other Qualifications :

1. Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or of Cost and Works Accountants of India.
2. Five years experience in Executive cadre in the field of Finance Accounting in an Industrial/Commercial/Govt Undertaking

Eligible candidates have to apply through their ‘Online Application Portal’ (OAP) of the Ministry of Shipping and a print out of the Online Application should be sent through proper channel, along with the following documents within the stipulated time.

• Copies of Educational Qualifications and experience,
• Undertaking of the applicant not to withdraw if selected,
• A self-attested passport size photo of the candidate to be affixed on the application

The officer selected for the post will be appointed on an absorption/Deputation basis and will be governed by the terms and conditions, prescribed by the Government.
