Reporting Professional II

Job Role

  • Initial responsibilities will revolve around supporting the transition & SOP creation from a team locally.
  • The position offers an excellent opportunity to a strong candidate who is looking for a challenging position in financial reporting with future growth potential.
  • The incumbent will be primarily responsible for assisting the Controller/Stat Reporting Manager with the US Statutory financial reports. The main responsibilities include among others:
  • Assist with the preparation of US Statutory Annual and Quarterly filings
  • Responsible for completeness and accuracy of all schedules within the Wings Annual Statement software
  • Responsible for legal entity statutory electronic filings with the NAIC
  • Maintenance and distribution of Statutory reporting suite, i.e. Report Links
  • Organization and assistance with all facets of financial examinations (e.g. FTP site)

Qualification and Experience

  • A Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience or CA Inter Qualified with at least 7 Years of experience (including article ship).
  • Experience in a Financial Accounting or Controlling area
  • Fluent in English
  • Prefer candidates that possess experience in working with European companies and are familiar with European business practices and culture
  • Knowledge of insurance or reinsurance industry is a plus
  • Strong Microsoft Excel & Analytical Skills
  • SOP creation experience

Senior Accountant I

Job Role

  • Initial responsibilities will revolve around supporting the transition & SOP creation for the EVM quarterly accounting from a team locally.
  • The position offers an excellent opportunity to a strong candidate who is looking for a challenging position in financial reporting with future growth potential.
  • The incumbent will be primarily responsible for assisting the Controller/Stat Reporting Manager with the US Statutory financial reports. The main responsibilities include among others:
  • Assist with the preparation of US Statutory Annual and Quarterly filings
  • Responsible for completeness and accuracy of all schedules within the Wings Annual Statement software
  • Responsible for legal entity statutory electronic filings with the NAIC
  • Maintenance and distribution of Statutory reporting suite, i.e. Report Links

  • Compilation of nonstandard regulatory filings (e.g. Wisconsin filing)

  • Presentation of Quarterly expense meetings to management

Qualification and Experience

  • A Chartered Accountant/Fully qualified Cost Accountant(ICWA) with a minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience
  • Experience in a Financial Accounting or Controlling area
  • Fluent in English
  • Prefer candidates that possess experience in working with European/Americas companies and are familiar with business practices and culture
  • Knowledge of insurance or reinsurance industry is a plus
  • Knowledge of EVM or SII or any other economic framework is a plus
  • Strong Microsoft Excel & Analytical Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and lead meetings efficiently; experience working in a highly professional and international environment

Accountant III

Job Role

Responsible for the accurate implementation of Non-Life IGR contracts within our finance system landscape and testing thereof

  • Coordinating timelines of quarterly financial production of Non-proportional Non-Life IGRs
  • Production and timely submission of Non-proportional Non-Life IGR financial statements
  • Responsible for the quarterly reporting to all counterparties
  • Responsible for the quarterly payments in collaboration with Treasury
  • Analyze quarterly financial statements in respect of accuracy and completeness
  • Support the overall IGR process management
  • Ad hoc support in providing expert reports and analysis to our key stakeholders
  • Perform other position related tasks as instructed by Supervisor
  • Provide guidance and review of Junior team member’s work

 Qualification and Experience

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant/Fully qualified Cost Accountant(ICWA) with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in a role relevant to Accounting or Financial Reporting, with a good understanding of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet
  • Experience in working in a complex process environment
  • Experience in working in cross-functional teams
  • Experienced with accounting/reporting systems
  • Knowledge of US GAAP is a plus
  • Willingness to develop an understanding of Swiss Re Group systems architecture for non-life business across all valuations
  • Strong process & control orientation to enable the delivery of quality output within short deadlines
  • Good MS Office skills required
  • Demonstrate personal accountability and dedication for the area of responsibility
  • Team player, good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to fluently communicate in English is necessary
