Con Banega Crorepati?! Incarcerated Sukesh Chandrashekhar writes to FM offering to pay Income Tax of ₹7,640 Crore
The alleged swindler is undergoing incarceration at Delhi’s Tihar Jail in relation to a 2015 multi-crore Fraud case

Alleged Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar has come clean in a tell-all letter addressed to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, offering to pay income tax on his global income of ₹22,410 Crore acquired during the fiscal year 2024-2025.
Currently undergoing jail term at the infamous Tihar Jail in Delhi after being nabbed by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Mumbai Police for a 200-Crore fraudulent operation, Sukesh has pulled out all the stops to seek his release from Jail including addressing a handwritten letter to US President-elect Donald Trump following his election victory in November, 2024.
Recent Developments see Sukesh expressing his willingness to abide by Indian Taxation Laws, by paying in a massive ₹7,640 Crore as Income Tax from the earnings acquired with his gaming and betting companies, LS Holdings International and Speed Gaming Corporation, both of which are registered and operative in Nevada and the British Virgin Islands.

In the appeal towards the Union Finance Minister, Sukesh has expressed his ardent admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying “As of today, being a proud Indian, under the great leadership of our Prime Minister Modi Ji, I want to contribute my part towards the world class development of this great nation. Henceforth by willingly paying Indian taxes on my overseas income, and further investing my overseas income here in India. Hereby to start I am hereby declaring my legitimate overseas income of Rs. 7,640 Crores for the year 2024 and wanting to pay the appropriate taxes in accordance to Indian Tax laws on immediate basis,”
The 34-year Old has revealed business operations across prominent locations in the USA, Spain, UK, Dubai and Hong Kong, generating an eye-watering $2.7 billion in 2024. Asserting the legality of his income sources, Sukesh has proposed to invest his income towards the betterment of technology and advancing skill-based online gaming
Although dishing out ₹7,640 Crore may not absolve all of his penal liabilities, Sukesh can take solace in the fact that some damage control may be done to minimize the heat on his back.
