The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI ) has issued a Corrigendum to the Voters List for the Southern Region as part of the preparations for the Council Election 2024. This update, dated September 25, 2024, addresses various clerical mistakes and omissions that were identified in the original list published on September 3, 2024.
The corrections pertain to the voter details and voting methods across different cities in the Southern India Regional Constituency, which includes Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and the Union Territories of Lakshadweep and Puducherry.

Specifically, the method of voting for numerous cities and polling booths has been altered from “Voting by Post” to “Voting by Poll”, ensuring voters will now cast their ballots in person at designated polling stations.
Key changes include updates for cities such as Alampur, Bellamkonda, Bhadradri, Hyderabad, Kadapa, and many more, with voters being assigned to specific polling booths.
For example:
In Alampur, Andhra Pradesh, voters previously marked for postal voting will now vote in person at polling booth S096 in Kadiri. Similarly, in Hyderabad, Telangana, changes were made to the assignment of voters and their corresponding polling stations.

Additionally, polling booth addresses in cities like Bengaluru have been reallocated, with several entries shifted between prominent locations like the Income Tax Office and the ICAI Bhawan.
This corrigendum ensures that all eligible voters in the Southern Region are accurately listed, and any discrepancies from the original list are corrected.
