Pidilite Industries Receives ₹13.18 Lakh GST Penalty Order
Pidilite Industries has received a Rs. 13.18 lakh GST penalty order from Vapi CGST authorities for FY 2020–21, which the company is currently reviewing with no material business impact.
Pidilite Industries Limited, a leading manufacturer of adhesives, sealants, and construction chemicals in India, has reported receiving a penalty order amounting to Rs. 13.18 lakh from the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) authorities in Vapi, Gujarat.
The penalty, related to the financial year 2020–2021, was communicated to the company via email on June 4, 2025, by the Assistant Commissioner, CGST, Vapi, under applicable provisions of the CGST Act. The exact reason for the penalty has not been detailed in the company’s disclosure, which is in line with procedural requirements under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
In its statement, Pidilite noted that the order is appealable and the company is currently reviewing the contents of the order. It is also evaluating appropriate legal remedies, including exercising its right to appeal before a higher authority as permitted under the GST legal framework.

Importantly, the company clarified that this development will not have any material impact on its financial position, operations, or overall business activities. “The order is under review, and necessary steps are being considered. There is no material impact on the financials or operations of the company,” the official communication stated.
