S.K. Rahman IRS, Chief Commissioner of CGST & Customs Launches TAXSCAN 2.0

Chief Commissioner of CGST & Customs, Thiruvananthapuram Zone, Shri S.K. Rahman, IndianRevenue Service (IRS), yesterday (4th June, 2025) launched TAXSCAN 2.0 - the new and improved website of Taxscan.in.
The website launch, held at the headquarters of Taxscan in Hilite Business Park, Kozhikode marks the beginning of Taxscan’s accelerated steps towards easing dissemination of information, access to advanced legal analysis, and to be a one-stop-solution for tax, finance and legal professionals working in the arena.
S.K. Rahman is a decorated IRS officer of the 1992 batch, holding over 32 years of distinguished experience in tax enforcement, including Goods and Services Tax (GST), customs, anti smuggling, policy-making and law, under his belt.
Specifics of the revamped website, including the improved search engine, and the upgraded User Interface (UI) were explained to S.K. Rahman by CEO Abdullah Karuthedakam and CTO Fayaz , following which Shri Rahman gave his valuable advice and guidelines on the trajectory to be followed by Taxscan in emerging as a key figure within India’s growing ‘FinanceSphere’.
S.K. Rahman stressed on the growing influence and extension of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the professional sphere, and how professionals and governmental departments have adopted the same into their workflow. Providing valuable insight into the background work that goes into financial scrutiny and enforcement, Shri Rahman urged Taxscan.in to lead the way
Following the launch, an interaction session was held with the office team where the team members queried Shri Rahman on facets of GST governance and methods to bridge the glaring gap between the taxpayer and the system that governs them.
Deputy Commissioner of Customs at Indian Revenue Service (IRS), Ashif A, gave attendees an insight into the real life of a Customs Officer and the challenges faced by them on a daily basis.
Also in attendance were chartered accountants and advocates affiliated with the Bar Council of Kerala.
