The Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs ( CBIC ), under the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, has issued a directive regarding the operational schedule of Customs field formations for the upcoming days.
In a notification dated March 28, 2024, addressed to all Principal Chief Commissioners, Chief Commissioners, Directors, and other relevant authorities, CBIC declared that Customs field formations will remain open and operational on March 29, March 30, and March 31, 2024.
These days are to be considered as official working days for all Customs offices falling under CBIC jurisdiction.
The directive, signed by Director (Customs) R. Ananth, emphasizes the importance of compliance with this schedule. It instructs all officers and staff members working within the CBIC framework to be present and fulfill their duties on these specified dates.
This decision comes with the approval of the Competent Authority within CBIC, ensuring continuity and efficiency in Customs operations during this period.
