After Vijay missed many days of work, his coworkers came to check on him, which is how the event was discovered on Thursday night.  They noticed a bad odor when they went to the quarters.  One body was hanging when they peered through an open window.  The authorities notified the police right away.  They discovered another body in a different room of the house.  Following further investigations, the mother's body was found in another room, resting on the bed.

As reported in The week magazine though police suspect suicide to be the cause of death of the siblings, they are probing all angles. The Police told that “If the mother's death is found to be natural, the siblings' suicides could be due to grief. Right now, our focus is to confirm the cause of death through the autopsy.”

Police say Maneesh's sister Shalini was summoned by a Jharkhand court on February 15 in relation to a CBI investigation.  Regarding issues in her employment to the Jharkhand government service, Shalini is purportedly facing accusations.  Additionally, Maneesh's notebook had an entry dated February 15 that instructed police to give his younger sister, who is currently in Dubai, specific documents.  When the deceased arrives from Dubai, police will perform her autopsy.
