Delhi Dept. of Trade & Taxes assigns R.K. Ahuja to Conduct Internal Review for Enrolling GST Practitioners

The Department of Trade and Taxes (Administration Branch) situated in New Delhi has issued an Order assigning Assistant Commissioner R.K. Ahuja to lead the internal review process for the enrolment of new Goods and Services Taxes ( GST ) practitioners.
The officer has been instructed by the Assistant Commissioner (Administration) to henceforth conduct ‘internal review branch and work of proper officer under Section 91 of the DGST Act, 2017, speciffically for enrolling GST practitioners in accordance with Section 48 of the DGST Act, 2017’.

Section 48 of the GST Act provides for the appointment of authorized GST practitioners to render services to GST, including filing returns and applications. The practitioners are mandatorily required to meet specified qualifications and register themselves as per the prescribed rules. The section also details the procedure for their enrollment, outlines their responsibilities regarding the furnishing of inward and outward supplies, and sets conditions for their authorization, while providing professional support to desirous individuals or businesses.
Assistant Commissioner R.K. Ahuja is presently working in Ward-61 and shall take over the work earlier undertaken by transferred Assistant Commissioner Pawan Kumar with immediate effect.
