Delhi notifies E-Way Bill for Intra-State movement of Goods, Finally [Read Notification]

The national capital of India, Delhi has notified that the E-Way Bill is mandatory for intra state movement of goods for all B2B transactions above Rs.1 Lakh only from 16th June 2018.

In a notification issued today, Commissioner State Tax in consultation with the Chief Commissioner of Central Tax, has asked to compulsorily fill e-way Bill inside Delhi for all B2B transactions above Rs.1 Lakh only. Further, B2C transactions of any value do not require e-way bill for intra state movement in Delhi.

Further all goods, irrespective of any value, the supply of which is from the registered business place of a taxable person to an unregistered end consumer and the movement is accompanied by an invoice issued under Sec 31 of the Delhi Goods & Services Tax Act shall also be exempted from the requirement of e-way bill for intra-state movement.

However, documents such as tax invoice, bill of supply, voucher, delivery challan or bill of entry, as the case may be, shall be required to be carried even in respect of consignments exempted from intra-state e-way bill, the notification added.

With this, Delhi become the last one to launch E-Way Bill amongst all States & UT’s in the Country.
