As part of assisting the Election Commission of India in ensuring clean and fair elections, the Income Tax Department has taken proactive measures to curb the influence of black money during the Delhi Legislative Assembly Elections 2025.
To facilitate this, the Directorate of Income Tax (Investigation), Delhi, has implemented robust arrangements to monitor and prevent the movement of unaccounted cash, bullion, and other valuables that may be used for electoral purposes within the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi during the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct.
It established a 24×7 Control Room at Civic Centre, New Delhi. Citizens are informed to report any suspicious activities related to the movement or distribution of cash, bullion, or precious metals.
