Delhi Income Tax Office Fire Outbreak: Office Superintendent Dies of Suffocation

An Income Tax superintendent died due to suffocation after the fire outbreak in the Delhi Income Tax Office on 14th May 2024. The 46 year old man, discovered unconscious at the scene and despite efforts, succumbed to the effects of smoke inhalation after being rushed to the hospital.
The incident prompted a swift response from emergency services, with 21 fire engines dispatched immediately upon receiving the distress call. With the diligent efforts of firefighters, the fire was eventually brought under control. Amidst the chaos, seven individuals were successfully rescued from the building, their lives spared from the perilous situation.
Forensic teams arrived at the scene to investigate the cause of the fire and gather crucial evidence. According to officials from the Delhi Fire Services, the rescue operation involved evacuating several individuals through windows using ladders, highlighting the urgency and complexity of the situation.
