The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), under the powers conferred by the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 and the Foreign Trade Policy 2023, has updated Appendix 4R, which outlines the RoDTEP rates and value caps applicable to various exported products.

Key Highlights:

  • The changes are made to reflect updates introduced through the Finance Act, 2025, which modified HS codes and tariff lines in the Customs Tariff Act.
  • The revised RoDTEP rates are effective from May 1, 2025 and are applicable to all relevant export shipments from that date onward.
  • Exporters can access the updated list of HS codes and corresponding rates/caps on the DGFT portal at www.dgft.gov.in, under ‘Regulations > RODTEP’.

Objective:

This move ensures that the RoDTEP benefit structure remains synchronized with the latest customs classifications, allowing exporters to continue availing accurate duty remission benefits on eligible items.

The notification was issued with the approval of the Minister of Commerce & Industry and signed by Ajay Bhadoo, Director General of Foreign Trade and Additional Secretary to the Government of India.
