The Directorate General of Foreign Trade under the Ministry of Commerce has notified through vide notification No. 18 /2023, published on 24th June 2023, the amendment under Appendix 2T of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023 which includes the Export Promotion Council for Medical Devices for the issuance of Registration-Cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC).
The DGFT amended the Appendix 2T (List of Export Promotion Councils/Commodity Boards/Export Development Authorities) of Appendices and Aayat Niryat Forms of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023 in accordance with the authority granted under paragraphs 1.03 and 2.04 of the FTP 2023.
In order to issue Registration-Cum-Membership Certificates (RCMC) for the items specified in the table above, the Export Promotion Council for Medical Devices has been listed in Appendix 2T with immediate effect. The RCMCs issued by EEPC INDIA up until the date of publication of this public notice are still valid.
According to the new changes, a new entry at Sl. No. 38 in Appendix 2T of FTP 2023 was. An Export Promotion Council for Medical Devices was set up in Uttar Pradesh. The detailed products fall under the jurisdiction are Adhesive guaze, Cotton wool, medicated, Poultice of kaolin, Lint, medicated, Micro pores surgical tapes, Sterile, surgical catgut and similar sterile suture materials (including sterile absorbable surgical or dental yarns) and sterile tissue adhesives for wound closure, Contraceptive based on hormones, Contraceptive based on spermicides…etc.
Further inserted the EEPC INDIA (Formerly Engineering Export Promotion Council) in Kolkata, having its territorial division in New delhi too. The products included are Machineries and equipment, Motor Vehicles, Automobile Components, Pumps – all types, Electric and Home Appliances, Builders Hardware, Mica & other Mineral based products..etc.
