The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) vide notification number 27/2023 S.O. 3816(E) issued on 28th August 2023 has notified the amendment in the Schedule 2 of ITC Classification of Export and Import items under Appendix 3.
By virtue of the authority granted through Section 5 and Section 14A of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, in conjunction with Paragraph 1.02 and Paragraph 201 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2023, the Central Government introduces a revision to Appendix 3 (SCOMET Items) within Schedule 2 of ITC (HS) Classification of Export and Import Items 2018.
The revised Appendix 3 (SCOMET Items) for Schedule 2 of ITC (HS) Classification of Export and Import Items, 2018, as included in the attachment to this notice, will be made available on the DGFT web portal. It will be accessible under the heading “Regulatory Updates,” specifically under the subheading “Import, Export, and SCOMET Policy.”
To offer a period of transition for the industry, this Notification will become effective 30 days after its date of issuance.
