The Director-General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has extended the deadlines for the submission of the application under the Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS) till 31st August, 2022.
The Notification issued on July 1, 2022 has issued amendments in para 3.13A of the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20 (“FTP”) (i.e. last date of submitting applications for scrip based Schemes) so as to extend the last date of submitting applications under Merchandise Exports from India Scheme, for exports made from September 01, 2020 to December 01, 2020, till August 31, 2022 in the prescribed manner.
“No further applications would be allowed to be submitted after the prescribed last date (as above) as they would become time-barred. Late cut provisions shall also not be available for submitting claims thereafter,” the Notification said.
