The Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has extended the deadline for uploading all such Electronic Bank Realisation Certificates (e-BRCs) for shipping bills where Rebate of State and Central Taxes and Levies (ROSCTL) scrips have been issued until September 30, 2022. As per the Trade Notice dated May 30, 2022, the exporting community was requested to get the relevant eBRCs uploaded onto the DGFT server by July 15, 2022.

In a notification issued last week, the DGFT stated that the last date for uploading of all such e-BRCs, where ROSCTL scrips have been issued for shipping bills up to December 31, 2020, has been further extended till September 30, 2022.

If the person fails to upload the e-BRCs, the action as per para 4.96 of HBP, as notified vide PN 58 dated January 29, 2020, would be initiated by the jurisdictional RAs. After September 30, 2022, no further extension would be granted and action under the FT (D&R) Act, 1992 may be taken by the Regional Authorities.

The DGFT requested the Export Promotion Councils/Textile associations to give wide dissemination to the trade notice in the interest of the apparel and made-up exporting community.
