DGFT Extends Import Period for Yellow Peas [Read Notification]

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, issued Notification No. 63/2024-25 dated 10 March 2025, announcing an extension in the import period for Yellow Peas under ITC(HS) Code 07131010.

As per the notification, the Government of India has extended the import policy period for yellow peas from 28 February 2025 to 31 May 2025. This extension applies to consignments where the Bill of Lading (Shipped on Board) is issued on or before 31 May 2025 under the online Import Monitoring System.

The import of yellow peas will be permitted under the "Free" category without the Minimum Import Price (MIP) condition, and all other port-related terms and conditions will remain unchanged.

The extension is issued in continuation of Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023, as amended, and in compliance with the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, along with provisions outlined in paragraphs 1.02 and 2.01 of FTP 2023. The notification is set to be published in the Gazette of India (Extraordinary), Part II, Section-3, Sub-Section (ii).

This decision aligns with previous notifications, including Notification Nos. 50/2023 (dated 08 December 2023), 61/2023 (dated 23 February 2024), 04/2023, and 12/2024-25 (dated 08 May 2024), ensuring continued facilitation of yellow pea imports.
