The Directorate General of Foreign Trade ( DGFT ) has extended the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products ( RoDTEP ) benefits, providing support for DTA units, AA/EOU/SEZ units. The dates of the scheme benefits have been extended by the government.
Under powers granted by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, and Para 1.02 of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023, the Central Government has made significant amendments to Notification No. 70/2023 dated March 8, 2024.

The RoDTEP scheme for products manufactured by Direct Tariff Area (DTA) units has been extended beyond September 30, 2024, to September 30, 2025. Similarly, RoDTEP benefits for products manufactured by Advance Authorization (AA) holders (except deemed exports), Export Oriented Units (EOUs), and Special Economic Zone (SEZ) units are extended until December 31, 2024.
To maintain the scheme within the allocated budget under Para 4.54 of FTP 2023, changes in scheme benefits may be introduced, including adjustments to eligible export items, rates, per unit value caps, and other related measures. These changes aim to ensure compliance with budgetary limitations, as specified in sub-clauses v, vi, and vii of Para 4.54.

Effective October 10, 2024, the revised RoDTEP rates will apply based on the recommendations of the RoDTEP Committee, covering products under Appendix 4R for DTA units and Appendix 4RE for AA holders, EOUs, and SEZ units.
Exports made from October 1 to October 9, 2024, will still follow the existing rates under Notification No. 70/2023. The updated lists of eligible export items, rates, and per unit value caps will be available on the DGFT portal under the RoDTEP section.

The new Appendix 4R and Appendix 4RE containing the eligible RoDTEP export items, rates and per unit value caps, wherever applicable, are available at the DGFT portal- www.dgft.gov.in under the link ‘Regulations>RoDTEP’.
