DGFT issues Notice – Submission – Data to RoDTEP Committee – Review of RoDTEP Rates -TAXSCAN
The Ministry of Commerce & Industry’s Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) recently released Trade Notice No. 30/2023-24 on October 19, 2023 and the pertains to the submission of data to the RoDTEP (Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products) Committee for the review of RoDTEP rates.
RoDTEP aims to provide refunds of duties and taxes on exported products to enhance India’s export competitiveness. The RoDTEP Committee has been formed to review and evaluate RoDTEP rates, and it plays a crucial role in the scheme’s implementation. This committee has been consulting with industry stakeholders to finalize the rates.
The last date for the submission of information to the RoDTEP Committee in the designated formats is November 30, 2023. It is essential to adhere to this deadline to ensure that your input is considered in the rate review process.
The notice also notes that Relevant orders and data formats etc. have been made available in the public domain at CBIC website (cbic.gov.in) under the link > Taxpayer and Stakeholder Assistance > Public Information > RoDTEP Committee .
The Exporting community was requested to make use of the opportunity and submit required information well within the laid down timelines with copy in MS Excel format to the email id-rodtep.dbk@gov.in.
