The Director-General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on Tuesday notified the extension of the validity of Pre-Shipment Inspection Agencies (PSIA).
The DGFT empowered under paragraph 1.03 read with paragraph 2.04 of the Foreign Trade Policy (2015-20), relaxed the provision as in Para 2.55 (d) of the Handbook of Procedure, 2015-20.
“The validity of recognition of the Pre-Shipment Inspection Agencies (PSIAs) included in Appendix 2G of Appendices and Aayat Niryat Forms (A & ANF) of Foreign Trade Policy (201520) which are completing their original tenure of three years or their extended tenure as on 30.9.2020 is extended up to 31.12.2020 or until the new list of PSIAs is notified, whichever is earlier,” the notice said.
The notice clarified that the validity of all the Pre-Shipment Inspection Agencies (PSIAs) as listed in the Appendix 2G of A & ANF, is extended up to December 31, 2020, or until the new list of PSIAs is notified, whichever is earlier.
