DGFT notifies Ministries/Departments to Exempt AA Holders and EOUs from Mandatory QCOs on Inputs Imports [Read Notification]

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade ( DGFT ), vide notification no. 47/2023 dated 7th March 2024 has notified the list of Ministries/Departments for granting exemptions to Advance Authorisation ( AA ) Holders and Export Oriented Units ( EOUs ) from Mandatory QCOs on Inputs Imports for the manufacturing of export products.
Utilizing the authority vested in paragraph 1.03 and 2.04 of the Foreign Trade Policy ( FTP ), 2023, the Director General of Foreign Trade has introduced a new Appendix, namely Appendix 2Y, under FTP, 2023, effective immediately.
This appendix serves to notify the list of Ministries/Departments whose notifications on mandatory Quality Control Orders ( QCOs ) have been exempted by the DGFT for goods intended for utilization/consumption in the manufacturing of export products.
