The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) through Public Notice No. 33/2024-25 dated November 14th, 2024, has introduced a new Standard Input Output Norm (SION) under the Chemical and Allied Products category. The new Standard Input Output Norm (SION) is listed as A-3682 and provides guidelines for the export of Clobetasol Propionate.

This notification was issued under paragraph 1.03 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2023. The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) stated that this new norm will apply to exports under the specified category.

To make this product, a material called Betamethasone and another similar medicine is often needed. The government and Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) have set a clear rule that for every 1 kg of Clobetasol Propionate exported, companies are allowed to import up to 0.95 kg of Betamethasone.
