The Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT) under Ministry of Commerce and Industry vide notification no. S.O. 3841(E) issued on 1st September 2023 mandated the Standard Mark on Plywood and Wooden flush Door Shutters. The department issues Quality Control Order.
The order may be called the Plywood and Wooden flush door shutters (Quality Control) Order, 2023 and shall come into force after 6 months of the date of notification.
Provided that for Small Enterprises as defined under the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006, it shall come into force with effect from 9 months from the date of publication of this notification.
Provided that for Micro Enterprises as defined under the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006, it shall come into force with effect from 12 months from the date of publication of this notification.
Anyone who violates the regulations stated in this Order will be subject to legal penalties as outlined in the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.
The Goods or articles specified in column (1) of the Table shall conform to the corresponding Indian Standard specified in column (2) of the Table and shall bear the Standard Mark under a license from the Bureau of Indian Standard as per Scheme-I of Schedule-II to the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.
It is also provided that nothing in this Order shall apply to goods or articles manufactured domestically for export.
