DPIIT notifies Resin Treated Compressed Wood Laminates ( Quality Control ) Order w.e.f. 14th January 2025 [Read Notification]

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade ( DPIIT ) under Ministry of Commerce and Industry, vide notification number S.O. 1018(E) has notified the Resin Treated Compressed Wood Laminates ( Quality Control ) Order 2024, w.e.f. 14th January, 2025.

It is also provided that for Micro Enterprises, as defined under the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006, it shall come into force with effect from 14th April 2025.

Further, Provided that for Small Enterprises, as defined under the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006, it shall come into force with effect from 14th July, 2025.

The items or commodities listed in column (1) of the Table must adhere to the corresponding Indian Standard detailed in column (2) of the Table and must prominently display the Standard Mark under a license issued by the Bureau.

This requirement aligns with Scheme-1 of Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards ( Conformity Assessment ) Regulations, 2018. However, it's important to note that this directive does not extend to goods or articles produced domestically for the purpose of export.

The Bureau assumes the role of both certifying and enforcing authority for the items or commodities enumerated in column (1) of the Table. Any individual found violating the provisions outlined in this directive will be subject to penalties as prescribed under the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.
