Today, the Union Minister for Finance & Corporate Affairs, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, chaired the 7th Pre-Budget Consultation aimed at gathering recommendations from representatives of the trade and services sectors. This consultation is aimed at shaping the contours of the upcoming General Budget for the fiscal year 2024-25.

Along with the Finance Minister, M.P. Poonia, senior officials including the Finance Secretary and Secretary, Department of Expenditure, along with Secretaries from the Department of Economic Affairs and Ministry of Commerce and Industry attended the meeting. The Chief Economic Adviser to the Government of India also placed a seat in the meeting for providing his valuable submissions bettering the economic policies.
