Finance Ministry Revises Customs Tariff Values for Palm Oil, Soya Bean Oil, Gold and Silver, and Areca Nuts [Read Notification]

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs ( CBIC ) under the Ministry of Finance issued Notification No. 23/2025-Customs (N.T.), dated April 8, 2025, revising the tariff value tables for various imported goods under the Customs Act, 1962.

This notification came into force on April 9, 2025, and replaces the values published just 11 days earlier under Notification No. 17/2025-Customs (N.T.), dated March 28, 2025. Most of the tariff values remain unchanged, but there is a notable revision in the value of silver, which has been reduced, in contrast to the previous update, where it had been raised.
