Finance Ministry Revises Customs Tariff Values for Silver, Medallions and Silver Coins [Read Notification]

The tariff value of Silver, Medallions, and Silver Coins was increased

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs ( CBIC ) under the Ministry of Finance has issued Notification No. 69/2024-Customs (N.T.) dated October 23, 2024, which updates the tariff values for imported commodities, including various types of edible oils, brass scrap, gold, silver, and areca nuts. These changes will come into effect from October 24, 2024.

The tariff values for Crude Palm Oil, RBD Palm Oil, Other Palm Oils, Crude Palmolein, RBD Palmolein, Other Palmoleins, and Crude Soybean Oil remain unchanged from previous levels. Similarly, the tariff value for Brass Scrap (all grades), precious metal Gold, and Areca Nuts has not been modified.

However, the tariff value for Silver has been revised to $1118 per kilogram, reflecting current market conditions.
