The Google has invited application for the post of Financial Analyst- Payments, Google Pay.
The Finance Operations team manages Google’s cash transactions on a global basis and ensures that Google’s incoming and outgoing cash processes are controlled, effective and efficient. Financial Analyst will find innovative ways to manage complex set of transactions, and make processes more efficient and scalable, work to ensure the highest level of quality of our operations, and proactively minimize operational risk.
Google Pay is a worldwide app with the mission of unlocking economic opportunity by making money simple, helpful, and accessible. Specifically in APAC, Google Pay is one of the leading payment apps in India and is deepening its presence in more markets. The Business Finance team is an important partner to help Google be commercially successful in building next generation Digital Payments products.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Business, Economics, Finance or related quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of relevant experience in finance, management consulting, corporate strategy, business intelligence or similar environment.
- Experience with early stage product development; flexibility to adapt to new approaches / thinking in a rapidly changing environment
- Financial planning and modeling experience within the payments or tech industry
- Proficiency in financial data tools: spreadsheets, and ERP/forecasting systems (SAP, etc.). A desire to learn SQL query and analysis techniques.
- Ability to be a trusted translator between product and finance leadership.
- Ability to cultivate cross-functional relationships and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, internal controls/risk management skills and business acumen
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze commercial partnership agreements and new business opportunities to influence business decisions regarding agreement structures, operationalization, and returns.
- Design, develop, and report on Key Performance Indicators to monitor the performance of commercial agreements and operations in order to create a platform for strategic decision-making.
- Develop financial forecasts for Google Pay monthly, annual, and long-range planning cycles.
- Provide analytical insight and influence decisions on Profit and Loss and profitability optimization, user/merchant acquisition and retention investment efficacy, and risk mitigation.
- Design/build/improve the necessary financial infrastructure to manage day-to-day operations.
