The Hewlett-Packard Development Company has invited applications for the post of Financial Analyst – Revenue Recognition.
Responsibilities:
- Deal reviews to provide complex accounting guidance
- Accounting review of emerging business models
- In depth knowledge of the systems and processes related to HP’s business (Order Management, Order coding, Transit time delays, Solution Partners Organization (channel contracts).
- Provide ongoing support and training to finance teams to enable them to be self-sufficient with their policy and process understanding.
- Influence and communicate to the wider community HP policy updates on a quarterly basis.
- Supporting ad hoc initiatives, such as supporting acquired company policy integrations.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvement and policy development and engages in the design
Qualifications:
- First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CA or MBA) preferred.
- Typically 6+ years of experience as a financial analyst.
- Typically experienced in more than one finance function.
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis, with advanced knowledge in one area.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Power Point Presentations).
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Superior teamwork skills
- Strong business acumen.
- Good project management skills.
