FM’s Video Promoting Crypto Investment for Daily Income Declared FAKE, AI Generated

A video circulating on social media purportedly shows Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman endorsing a crypto product promising easy daily income. However, the video has been declared fake by the Press Information Bureau ( PIB ).

According to a #PIBFactCheck, the video is a digitally altered, AI-generated creation and does not feature the Finance Minister promoting any cryptocurrency platforms or products. The PIB has pushed the public to remain cautious and avoid such misleading videos that may promote dubious crypto schemes.

The Ministry also warned viewers to stay vigilant against fake content designed to mislead people into investing in cryptocurrency platforms.

It has been clarified that the Finance Ministry does not promote crypto currency platforms or products.  The video stated that “thousands of Indians already earned up to 15,00,000 rupees in just one month with investment starting from rs. 21,000’.

It has been clarified that those videos are AI generated and it is not the FM speaking. The people are advised to be vigilant and cautious enough to know what is fake.
