The Income Tax Department has recently introduced a new facility of generating Electronic Verification Code through bank’s ATMs. Now, Electronic Verification Code (EVC) can be generated through State Bank of India and AXIS bank ATMs. This will facilitate these bank’s customers,who may not have a net-banking account,to e-verify their return. Other banks are expected to launch this facility soon.
This facility was introduced by the Department on 3rd July 2016 associating with State Bank Of India. SBI is the first bank to launch this facility.
