In a notification dated 5th August 2016, Central Board of direct Taxes, Ministry of Finance has exempted TDS deduction on Micro Units Development & Refinance Agency Limited (MUDRA) income under section 194A of the Income-tax Act, 1961.
The notification came into force on 5th of August 2016.
