The Ministry of Finance issued Notification No. 07/2025-Customs (ADD) dated March 25, 2025, announcing the imposition of anti-dumping duty on imports of Acrylic Solid Surfaces originating from or exported by China PR, for a period of five years.

This decision follows the final findings of the Designated Authority (DGTR), which determined that these imports were being dumped into the Indian market at unfairly low prices, causing material injury to the domestic industry.

The affected product includes various forms of Acrylic Solid Surfaces, such as:

  • 100% Acrylic Solid Surfaces
  • Corian Sheets
  • PMMA-based Montelli Sheets
  • Hi-Macs Acrylic Sheets
  • Krion Methyl Methacrylic Resin Sheets

The notification excludes certain products such as pure acrylic sheets, acrylic laminates used for wrapping, polyester solid surfaces, and modified acrylic surfaces.

Duration: The anti-dumping duty is applicable for five years from the date of publication (March 25, 2025), unless revoked or amended earlier.

Currency: The duty is payable in Indian Rupees, with the exchange rate as notified under Section 14 of the Customs Act, 1962.Effective Date for Exchange Rate: Determined as per the date of the bill of entry filing under Section 46 of the Customs Act.
