Govt imposes Anti Dumping Duty on Pentaerythritol from China PR, Saudi Arabia and Taiwan [Read Notification]

The Central Government has imposed an Anti Dumping Duty on Pentaerythritol originating in or exported from China PR, Saudi Arabia and Taiwan to India for 5 years. As detailed in notification F. No. 06/04/2023-DGTR dated February 20, 2024, and published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part I, Section 1 on the same date, the authority has concluded that:

1. The subject goods have been exported to India at prices below their normal value, resulting in dumping.
2. The domestic industry has suffered material injury.
3. This material injury has been caused by the dumped imports from the subject countries.

Consequently, the authority has recommended the imposition of an anti-dumping duty on imports of Pentaerythritol from the subject countries to mitigate the injury to the domestic industry.

The anti-dumping duty, specified in the table below, :

This anti-dumping duty will be enforced for five years from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, unless revoked, superseded, or amended earlier. The duty will be payable in Indian currency.
