The Government of India has imposed anti-dumping duties for five years on the imports of Glufosinate and its salt originating in or exported from China PR. It has also imposed anti-dumping duties on Sodium Citrate from China and Vietnam. The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs ( CBIC ) has issued the notification vide numbers No. 09/2025-Customs ( ADD ) and 10/2025-Customs (ADD).
Compliments to the final findings’ recommendations made by the Directorate General of Trade Remedies ( DGTR ), the Ministry of Finance separately notified with final findings of the fact that the subject articles were exported from China to India at dumped prices, considerably lesser than the normal value. For the case of Glufosinate and its salt falling under tariff items 3808 91 93, 3808 91 99, 3808 93 91, 3808 93 99, 3808 99 12, 3808 99 91, and 3808 99 99, the DGTR held that the dumped imports have caused material injury to the domestic industry by depressing local prices and affecting market share.

Government has imposed USD 2998 Per MT on Glufosinate and its salt from China irrespective of origin and export.
Similarly, in a sunset review concerning Sodium Citrate (tariff item 2918 15 20), the DGTR found continued dumping and a strong likelihood of recurrence of injury if the existing duties, originally imposed in May 2020, were allowed to lapse.
Accordingly, the anti-dumping duty on both products will remain in force for a period of five years from the date of publication of the respective notifications in the Official Gazette, that is 9th May, unless earlier revoked or amended.

These duties are payable in Indian currency. The exchange rate for calculating the duties will be as notified by the Ministry of Finance under Section 14 of the Customs Act, 1962, and the relevant date for determination shall be the date of presentation of the bill of entry under Section 46 of the same Act.
