The Central Economic Intelligence Bureau has notified the reconstitution of the Advisory Committee under the Conservation of Foreign Exchange and Prevention of Smuggling Activities ( COFEPOSA ) Act.
The government was empowered under Section 8 of the Conservation of Foreign Exchange and Prevention of Smuggling Activities Act, 1974 reconstituted an Advisory Board for a period of one year.
As per the notification issued by the Central Government on Tuesday, the newly re-constituted Advisory Board will bre headed by the Chairperson Mr. Justice D. N. Patel, Chief Justice and two members namely Justice J. R. Midha and Justice C. Hari Shankar.
This notification shall come into force with effect from 23rd March, 2021.
