The Government notified the Special Courts for the trial of cases under the Prevention of Money-laundering Act, 2002 (PMLA) in Lucknow and Ghaziabad.
The government empowered sub-section (1) of section 43 of the Prevention of Money-laundering Act, 2002 and in addition to the earlier notification number S.O. 372(E), dated the 5th February 2016 of the Government of India in Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue and in consultation with the Chief Justice of High Court of Allahabad, the Central Government designated the courts of Anti-Corruption, C.B.I. Lucknow and Ghaziabad in the State of Uttar Pradesh as Special Court for the areas for the trial of offenses punishable under section 4 of the Prevention of Money-laundering Act, 2002.
In Lucknow, the central government designated the special courts of Anti-Corruption, C.B.I. for as many as 8 areas.
In Ghaziabad, the central government designated the special courts of Anti-Corruption, C.B.I. for as many as 4 areas.
