To address the queries of tax payers relating to E-way Bill, the Central Board of Indirect taxes and Customs (CBIC) has published a list of Grievance Redressal Officers (CBIC and State / UT Governments) for e-way bill system under rule 138D of Central/ State GST Rules, 2017. To address the queries of tax payers relating to E-way Bill, the Central Board of Indirect taxes and Customs (CBIC) has published a list of Grievance Redressal Officers (CBIC and State / UT Governments) for e-way bill system under rule 138D of Central/ State GST Rules, 2017.
The list published by the Board contains the details of 48 officers all over India. After the rollout of E-Way Bill provisions from 1st April, the system is running smoothly without any glitches.
Electronic way Bill system was launched by the Government to track all the inter-State movement of goods worth above Rs 50000/-. With the introduction of e-way mechanism, the Government aims to bring transparency and accountability in transactions which would eventually curb tax evasion and thereby protect the interests of Revenue.
