GST: Delhi Govt. notifies GST Exemption on Supply of Goods for specified projects under FAO [Read Notification]

The Delhi Government notified the Goods and Service Tax (GST) Exemption on supply of goods for specified projects under the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

The Lt. Governor of National Capital Territory of Delhi in the public interest exempted, all the goods supplied to the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO) for execution of projects, from the whole of the State Tax leviable thereon under section 9 of the said Act.

The exemption is subject to the condition that an officer not below the rank of Deputy Secretary to the Government of India in the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare certifies namely the quantity and description of the goods; and that the said goods are intended for the purpose of use in execution of said projects.

The name of the projects are Strengthening Capacities for Nutrition sensitive Agriculture and Food systems, and GreenAg, Transforming Indian Agriculture for Global Environment benefits and the conservation of Critical Biodiversity and Forest landscape.

The notification shall come into force with effect from the 1 October, 2019.
