GST: Delhi Govt. notifies Number of digits HSN Code for Aggregate Turnover in Financial Year 2021-22 [Read Notification]

The Delhi Government notified the number of digits of Harmonised System of Nomenclature (HSN) Code for Aggregate Turnover in Financial Year 2021-22.

The government seeks to notify the amendment in the notification of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi in the Department of Trade and Taxes No.12/2017 – State Tax, dated the 30th June,2017.

As per the notification the Number of HSN Code will be 4 for the Aggregate Turnover upto Rs.5 Crores in the preceding Financial Year.

Further,  the Number of HSN Code will be 6 for the Aggregate Turnover of more than Rs.5 Crores in the preceding Financial Year.

The notification while laying down the condition states, “Provided that a registered person having aggregate turnover up to five crores rupees in the previous financial year may not mention the number of digits of HSN Code, as specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table in a tax invoice issued by him under the said rules in respect of supplies made to unregistered persons.”

The notification will come into effect from 1 April, 2021.
