The division bench of the Delhi High Court has admitted the petition by the Sales Tax Bar Association against GST system glitches and asks response from the government, Infosys, and Tech Mahindra.

The petitioner, Sales Tax Bar Association filed a writ petition to get relief from many systems glitches causing impediments to the smooth functioning of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 and the Delhi Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. (Other State Acts).

The counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that the petitioner will formulate suggestions for improving the system, which, is creating impediments in the smooth administration of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 and the Delhi Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017.

During the hearing, the Court has directed the respondent to formulate issues in existing GST Laws or existing on the GSTN, etc. which are to be discussed with Government Counsels, Team Infosys, which has installed the GSTN portal and is also responsible for maintaining it, and Tech Mahindra, the other representing technical team.

The Coram of Mr. Justice Rajiv Shakdher and Ms. Justice Tara Vitasta Ganju has held that the technical teams of both Infosys and Tech Mahindra, to also, participate in the meetings and the status reports have been filed by both Infosys, as well as Tech Mahindra.

Adv. Mr. Puneet Agarwal and Mr. Anurag Ahluwalia appeared on behalf of the petitioner and respondents respectively.
