GSTAT: Central Govt notifies Rules for Appointment and Conditions of Service of President and Members [Read Notification]

The Central Government vide notification no. G.S.R.793(E) issued on 26th October 2023, based on the recommendations of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council  has notified the rule for Appointment and Conditions of Service of the President and Members of the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT). The notification came into force on October 26, 2023.

These rules may be called the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (Appointment and Conditions of Service of President and Members) Rules, 2023 and shall apply to the President, Judicial Member, Technical Member (Centre) and Technical Member (State) of the Principal Bench and State Bench of Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal. The Rules contains 19 Rules, 7 Chapters and 3 Forms and 2 annexures.
