The Goods and Service Tax Network (GSTN) on Wednesday issued an advisory on GSTR 1 JSON Errors and Resolutions.
Currently, the Taxpayers are seeing the statuses for GSTR1, after uploading a JSON file from the Offline Tool namely ‘Processed with Error’ or ‘In Progress’.
This is due to the fact that many offline utilities used by Taxpayers are not filling the Table 12- HSN wise summary of outward supplies correctly. The HSN Code and Rate fields cannot be null. It is suggested to use the latest version of Offline Tool (Version 3.0.4) provided by GSTN instead of 3rd Party GSTR1 Offline Tool.
GSTR-1 is a monthly or quarterly return that should be filed by every registered GST taxpayer, except a few as given in further sections. It contains details of all outward supplies i.e sales.
