The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India ( IBBI ) has constituted a ‘Working Group on Group Insolvency’. The Group is headed by Mr. U. K. Sinha, Former Chairman, Securities, and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India ( IBBI ) has constituted a ‘Working Group on Group Insolvency’.
The Group is headed by Mr. U. K. Sinha, Former Chairman, Securities, and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). The other members of the Group are Ms. Anshula Kant, Mr. Shardul Shroff, Dr. Shubhashis Gangopadhyay, Mr. Sibi Antony, Mr. Koushik Chatterjee, Mr. Sumit Binani.
The Working Group shall submit a report recommending a complete regulatory framework to facilitate insolvency resolution and liquidation of corporate debtors in a Group, within two months from the date.
The IBBI shall provide secretarial and logistics support to the Working Group.
