The Council of the Institute has decided to extend 75% fee concession on registration fees to the wards of demised members of ICAI effective from 1st April, 2022 for pursuing the CA Course at all levels. A same concession is applicable to the Candidates/ Students from Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and for 8 North-Eastern States.
The ICAI stated that the Student, in order to avail the benefit, has to fill the respective Registration Forms in SSP Portal along with the requisite documents.
“In addition, the student has to upload the copies of following documents duly attested by any member of the Institute:- (a) Death Certificate (b) Membership Proof of the deceased parent, namely, Membership Card / Membership Certificate / Fee Receipt of the Membership Fees paid, or any other proof. (c) Any valid Identity Proof of the deceased Member (d) Declaration by student that the Annual income of family is Rupees Five Lakh or less than Rupees Five Lakh,” the ICAI said.
The press release further stated that the Candidates/Students from newly formed Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and 8 North-East States, namely, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura may note that waiving off 75% fee for the students registering from these Union Territories and States for all levels of CA Course i.e. Foundation, Intermediate and Final is renewed till 31st March, 2025.
“The said concession will be permissible for the candidates/students who will be enrolling till 31st March, 2025. All other Fees except the registration fee mentioned above will have to be paid by the beneficiary student. Candidates/Students would need to upload domicile certificate/ permanent resident certificate, proof of identity like Adhaar card, Passport, Voter ID, Driving License, and Ration Card for availing the fee concession,” it said.Subscribe Taxscan AdFree to view the Judgment
