The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI ), through its Professional Development Committee ( PDC ), has announced the hosting of the Multipurpose Empanelment Form ( MEF ) for the year 2024-25. Chartered accountants can access the form at Multipurpose Empanelment Form Portal.

The MEF is an important document that members need to fill out for empanelment with various authorities. The information provided through the MEF is shared by ICAI with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), and other governmental bodies to facilitate professional work opportunities for chartered accountants.
Partnership/LLP Firms which are in existence as on 1st July, 2024 or Proprietary Firms which are in existence as on 1st July, 2024 or Member holding Full-time Certificate of Practice as on 1st July, 2024 and practising in individual name.
Before filling out the MEF, members are strongly advised to read the advisory available on the MEF portal to ensure accurate and complete submission.
– Login Credentials:
– Existing Users: Members who have registered for the MEF in previous years can log in using their existing credentials. If a member has forgotten their password, they can retrieve it by clicking on the “Forgot Password” option on the login page.
– New Applicants: Chartered accountants applying for the MEF for the first time need to register at https://app.meficai.org/register before proceeding to fill out the form.
The last date for submitting the online MEF is October 7, 2024. Members are encouraged to complete the form well in advance to avoid last-minute technical glitches or delays.
The Multipurpose Empanelment Form is designed to collect comprehensive information about the members and firms, which is then used for various empanelment processes. This includes appointments for audits and other professional assignments by RBI, NABARD, and other organisations.
