The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI ) has recently announced the results for the Chartered Accountants Intermediate and Foundation Examinations held in September 2024.
Here, we spotlight the top three achievers of the Intermediate Examination, who have set a high bar for excellence.
All India Toppers - CA Intermediate Examination
1. Parami Umesh Parekh from Mumbai secured the All India First Rank with a score of 484 out of 600, achieving an impressive percentage of 80.67%. Parami's outstanding performance is a testament to her dedication and hard work, marking her as a notable success story in the CA journey.
2. Tanya Gupta from Chennai grabbed the All India Second Rank with a total score of 459 and a percentage of 76.50%. Tanya's remarkable achievement highlights the strong showing of CA aspirants from the southern region of India.

3. Vidhi Jain from New Delhi attained the All India Third Rank with a score of 441, corresponding to a percentage of 73.50%. Vidhi's accomplishment underscores the determination of students from the capital region to excel in this challenging examination.
Pass Percentage Statistics - Intermediate Examination
The Intermediate Examination this year saw the following pass percentages across the two groups:
- Group I: Out of 69,227 candidates, 10,505 passed, recording a pass percentage of 15.17%.
- Group II: Out of 50,760 candidates, 8,117 succeeded, with a pass rate of 15.99%.
- Both Groups: Out of 23,482 candidates who appeared for both groups, only 1,330 passed, marking a notably lower pass rate of 5.66%.
Foundation Examination - Pass Percentage
In the Foundation Examination, which also took place in September 2024, a total of 70,437 students appeared, with a combined pass rate of 19.67%. Gender-wise statistics reveal that:
- Male Candidates: Out of 37,774 males, 7,732 passed, showing a pass rate of 20.47%.
- Female Candidates: Out of 32,663 females, 6,126 passed, reflecting a pass rate of 18.76%.
The CA examinations continue to uphold rigorous standards, with a select few students achieving distinguished scores. These top-performing candidates represent the bright future of the accounting profession in India, inspiring countless others in their journey to become Chartered Accountants.
